Hey all,
Coilovers came in the post yesterday so I'm keen to put them in Monday.
Maybe a stupid question but anything to watch out for or special tools needed?
I have a basic set of spanners, Allen keys, sockets and screwdrivers?
Any tips? Just dont want something to pop up and make it a head fuck.
Cheers
In my opinion the following are essential
A hub spreader tool
An M16 spline bit
and preferably a rattle gun.
Without these a 2.5 hour job will take you all weekend.

Tim is correct. Also, don't forget to disconnect the swaybar on both sides before you start.

Cheers guys. Don't have a rattle gun so il have to adjust it painfully slowly.
Sorry for the dumb question, but what's a hub spreader do? Same applies for the spline bit
The rattle gun is about being able to remove the top strut nut. Id research a couple of DIYs before you get stuck into it just so you know whats required.

Youre also going to need spring compressors unless youre willing to take your life and those around you into your own hands by undoing the strut mount without them

Cheers. Got spring compressors.
Got a spline bit. Don't have the hub separator. Major problem?
Il read up on some diys but I've got a general idea. I've helped 2 friends do them on a Toyota soarer and eg civic so I've seen it done
