i know its just a drawing, but why does that mk2 have square headlights? did they normally come with square headlights? or is that how foose design would build their remake of one, with the bora style headlights

MK2 Jetta's had square headlights. Late model American MK2's had Jetta front ends like the one in the picture. The US market also had 'westys' built in America for the domestic market in Westmorland CA, with smaller square headlights. They built MK1's there too.

To get really geeky on your asses, the Hella headlights on an American MK2 westy are the most widly used headlights of the 90's and were used on a 90's Jeep Cherokee, Honda CRX, Mitsubishi L200 Utes, GMC pick-ups, Bedford Vans in the UK and a few others.
