hi there

has anyone here experienced any kind of shit service at any of the dealerships, despite spending 70k on a car plus finance(which makes it quite attractive)?

pls let me know. i personally recieved some shocking substandard service at volks sutherland and if it wasnt for my love of the golf r and my impatience to get one, i would of voted with my feet.

thanks for any feedback

i just want ppl to reward the good dealerships!

Mate I had a very similar experience at the VW dealer in Penrith (Nepean Motors). Initial interactions were ok but once the deposit went down they treated me like shit. The fleet sales manager Liz Kelly, wouldn't return phone calls, emails or even text messages. She ripped me off on the trade and mislead me into spending over $1000 on minor repairs and new tyres in the belief she would get me a better valuation on it before going missing for ten days, when I finally caught up with her she said she couldn't get any more cash for it.

When I picked up the new car it was delivered by the office lackey who new stuff all about it. I optioned GTI mats for it and they tried to pinch the original mats on me, finally got them in the mail 2 months later. Had my rims painted black around the same time and realised I had one Bridgestone and three Conti's. Went out to see them and they switched Conti from another new car with the Bridgestone which would be ok if it hadn't been driven on but it had done about 30kms. Now call me paranoid but how the hell can I know that tyre is 100% ok and never been repaired or damaged in a test drive?

I won't go on but you get the picture, thanks for the opportunity to rant, the first time I've done so since it happened as I've been trying not to let it ruin what was anticipated to be a very joyous occasion.

Dealers are scum and should be treated with absolute contempt!

Mine was delivered (new) with a kerbed wheel and a scratch on the tint, which they replaced after several letters. Have not been back to that dealer again, they don't deserve my money.

Most dealers are scum. There your best friend till they get your deposit then they forget you.
