For servicing, I take my car to Burwin VW in Ferntree Gully, VIC. Mod friendly and always look after me!

For anything else, Lucas from Eurospeed!! Great expertise in engine building, ecu tuning and supplies and installs mods!

Ramspeed (http://www.ramspeed.com.au/) in Seven Hills.

Excellent service, anything and everything is possible there, a dedicated team of enthusiasts, exclusive parts such as Jig's ABT supercharger kit.

What I like most is their accomodating hospitality and their attention to details.

These guys are the real deal...

Sweet, are they able to handle anything under warranty or is that sort of a dealer only thing...?

Frenchie

European Autotech and Ramspeed will be fine with OEM services etc

Warranty - Only through VW dealer

I use Southern Classic in Wollongong.
Unfortunately they are the only dealer closest to me (still over an hour away)

I recently had some work done by Derek at European Autotech and he was great. If I lived in Wollongong or Sydney I'd take my car there all the time.
Very friendly, knows his stuff and treats your car with respect.

Peak Performance, they're the guys who did the REVO flash on the Mk4 GTI Mighty Car Mods had, right?? I still haven't really found a place where I like to go - there's a VW mechanic (VW Village) within two minutes of driving from our place, but I went there for a window regulator and he wanted $350! Almost as expensive as a stealership I suppose, but they could be done for half that anywhere else!

I'm in the Sutherland Shire area and I'm a bit concerned about McGrath VW here as they are a one stop shop for VW, Holden, Nissan and Mazda (was going to service here as they are the closest)....I will take the car back to Barloworld for the first service to get the warranty validated but beyond that I'm open to your help! Thanks for all the info so far guys :)

I went to Arthur at exotic cars in North Parramatta and did some enquiring about intakes online beforehand. He was extremely informative and sent me pages of information. I had my intake installed there very quick and cheap for labour too.

I had my 60k service at BWA and think they also did a fantastic job.

Yeah I'm about to use BWA. The bled the brakes on my GT and GTI and did it quite quickly and the price was very good.

See my sig. Does good work, works after hours which is a great help for me and has very competitive pricing. Working for VW atm, but looking to start his own shop pretty shortly. Based in Abbotsford (Five Dock).

I am looking around for a new mechanic with competitive pricing. Dave, if Steve is on the Northside I would be giving him a call? MK3 always needs repairs and high ks' twice a year service.

Updated my post, sorry. He is in Abbotsford (Five Dock), it is a bit of a travel for me to get there, but find it well worth it. If nothing else give him a call and get a quote for whatever work you want done.

That's Kaan's service place! They've installed a lot of stuff for him - intakes, exhausts, suspension and later coilovers and sways, Brembo BBK, Mk6 steering wheel and other stuff.

Good to see people send on recommendations like these, which have happy forum member customers.

Plenty of people have been in contact with Arthur and been very happy with his service :)
For those pushing it, he can also work with Lucas as well ;)

Yeh I nabbed Kaan's one week old forge intake from arthur a few weeks back! Much <3 to Kaan for the price he gave me on it too. Arthur has the best customer service :P. Had a whole room full of Kaans stuff lol. Getting my GIAC tune there in a week or so will update the thread on how it all pans out.

I went to peak automotive as well but wasnt too impressed, charged a buttload and there was an old white haired guy who was angry as hell and ignored alot of stuff I said to him. Told me I couldnt put a revo trial tune over the top of an apr trial tune, which I said you could and then decided to talk to some other car owner for 40 minutes whilst leaning on my car, then take 5 minutes to do the job.
