The most expensive one on CS at the moment is 47K with 22Kkms. i wouldnt say your dreaming but.... it could take a while to move at that asking price since people dont pay THAT much extra for options. its your car, you do what you want, at the end of the day, its only worth what some one is willing to pay for it
He can't help it Johnno.. He has foot in mouth disease!

I've got time, plenty of time since nothing really has superceded the class of the R32. Plus all the people out there that are selling their R32's cheap are fools who don't appreciate the heritage of the R badge.

Nice car... It will sell, these cars are still in a league of their own, cant be compared to an R...
Who knows maybe one day when those greenies that govern emissions will loosen up and VW will bring back the mighty VR6!!
GL with the sale..

A lot of people dont like what the dealers offer them so they dont trade. Then they need to sell quickly as they need the money to pay back loans. This then forces them to sell a a low price. If you are able to keep the car till a buyer likes it, then hold on to it. Also the price dump in some areas of real estate isnt helping.
GL with the sale John :-)

Clean it up henceforward guys, or I will. Fun's fun, but let's keep it relevant.
the heritage of the R badge.
Can you elaborate on this heritage a bit?

Can you elaborate on this heritage a bit?
i think it all started way back in 03 with the concept R and has been expanded now to include R line accessories. not sure if heritage would be the right word, id say the symbolism, or Status. of the R badge

Can you elaborate on this heritage a bit?
Why don't you google it troll...here you go little fella
"Mercedes has AMG, BMW has its M Division and Audi has quattro. Volkswagen already has cars badged with the ‘R’ moniker - which originally meant performance models but can now equally mean just cosmetic changes to appear faster – but until now it was just a badge without a clearly defined place in VW’s structure. But not any more.
Volkswagen has created a new company – Volkswagen R GmbH - which will be responsible for “…competencies in development, implementations and sales of individualised vehicles”, much of which used to be done by Volkswagen Individual. We reported in January that VW were going to launch Volkswagen R GmbH – although we expected the announcement at Geneva – and we’re really hoping that making ‘Volkswagen R’ a seperate entity means that we will see more than just more bolt-on extras across the VW range.
It’s a certainty that there will be cosmetic ‘R’ packages for more cars across the VW range, because that’s what buyers want and VW are very good at it. But if they are going to imbue the ‘R’ badge with the same sort of credibility as Mercedes’ AMG or BMW’s M then they will have to have more than a couple of cars in the range – the VW Golf R and the VW Scirocco R - which are true R Performance cars"
Yes I already know that, but I wouldn't really call it heritage no? Like for example, the M badge has heritage, the GTR badge has heritage, even AMG to some degree. Largely based on racing, but also creating legendary road cars.
Maybe in a couple of years, or once VW build some race cars that dominate, or when the R32 really is recognised as a classic (The MK IV already is somewhat, the MKV not so much) or come up with something that really changed the car scene under the R moniker.
I would say the GTI badge has more heritage than the R badge largely because the original GTI was a game changer. Maybe one day the R badge will really be something important, but right now? Not sure about it...

Ah thanks professor now get off my for sale thread
Saad you are a real Tosser.. I remember you hit a kangaroo with your GTI and posted it all over the forums saying how bad it smelled, then to advertise it on the forum forsale.
Then you brought a Honda.. After doing a track day with JF and having someone else drive your car saying it was a piece of shit and was going to blow up, You then decide to sell that to..
Let's talk about the JDM video you did.. lol what a joke! Taking about Samurai warriors and the JDM culture like you have an idea..
I haven't laughed so hard in years.. Thank you for that!
Watch out for AP I hear when he goes out for lunch he asks for a ham, cheese and turbo sandwich on a carbon fibre roll.
Who said my car was a POS? I don't recall doing a track day in it with JF (although he did come down for a bit to a private day I attended), nor saying it would blow up. I loved the Honda, but parts for it were too damn expensive to maintain to the standard I wanted to, hence the sale. Plus wanted to try a RWD.
Yeah man, dead kangaroo smells like shit, luckily insurance fixed it all.
In regards to the video (that my friend made and was rather well received, as a coverage of the JDMST meet), yeah it was pretty funny aye! I've long considered going into stand up comedy, but get too nervous in large crowds
Dont see how I have said anything offensive at all, simply starting a topic of discussion based on a comment John said.
Come on Anthony chill out a bit mate!

Come on saad get the fcuk off my sale thread
Mate no need to use language like that, and I am entitled to a right of reply if someone (AP) abuses me, and likewise you.
Thought you enjoyed discussing cars, but apparently not.

07-02-2012, 09:35 PM
Lol.
Gotta agree with AP and johno, this thread isn't the place for your dribble.
I agree, asking price is quite ambitious but nothing wrong with ambition. And that's probably as much as I'll agree with.
Gl with sale johno
Come on Anthony chill out a bit mate!
I'll chill when you stop with your BS!
I will still by my statement that I did not say any BS. I did not comment on the price etc, merely wanted to discuss the R badge.
But whatever man, you wanna defend your mate when there's nothing to defend against and get all upset about it then be my guest.
John sorry for posting in your FS thread if it makes you that upset, however there are others far more worthy of your wrath.
Saad, why do you always have to win every argument? Maybe Johno said the wrong thing about "heritage" but you don't have to slam him down. Does it make you more of a scholar than him? Intellectually superior?
Let it go,
PS: apologies to Dr. Bullet for littering your FS thread. Best of luck, doc

Nothing to with intellect, nor did I intend to slam him down, nor did it slam him.
Letting it go....now.

Moderators please lock this thread. I've about had enough of everyone's verbal diarrhoea. I'll sell it somewhere else, somewhere that appreciates the R32 badge

+1,,, Yeh can someone set up a thread so all the bullshit talk can be debated with elsewhere by the minority few and let the majority of members enjoy this forum as it should be enjoyed.
I mean honestly we're just pulling down the credentials of this fine forum to pure gutter talk with all the swearing and name calling going on. It's just not needed.
Good luck SB with the sale, what a tragedy this has turned out to be.
