I stumbled on this yesterday
http://www.myplates.com.au/restyle/
thought might be good for anyone wanting to move over to the newer Euro style plates. Offer is only valid for your current plates to be restyled in another format rather than getting a new plate done up.
The Euro's are normally $400 with no annual fee but the offer, which ends May 31st, does this for a one off all up fee of $272.

Only cost me $90 back in the day
Thanks for this offer. Better than April's offer.
Will anyone here bother restyling? I'd rather have a decent plate before restyling!

I'd restyle rather than get a personalised plate simply cos I don't like the idea of having an easily identifiable rego plate (for all my criminal underworld activities...) but have the basic white plates which I don't really like on the GTI; i find the black euro ones look smaller than standard on the front when you use a plate surround (i think cos it's a black plate on a black grille).
I also have an old SL mercedes on shitty yellow plates that I think the white euros would suit better. But that's $540 and can I REALLY be arsed....??

I have poor content, so won't take this up.

lol... it cost me $30 to have mine ordered and $90 a year. That was 1.5 years ago. If i did it now, i wouldn't even bother.

Can't believe you guys have to continue to pay annual fees for your plates. Question is what is the width of the Euro style and would it sit flush in a euro plate holder as standard?
In the myplates website there is reference to a 50% off deal for the Sydney Film Fest. It might be the same kind of coloured plate restyle, but is 50% rather than 33% off.

Just in case anyone feels like doing this cosmetic change. :)
[Edit to add: I couldn't get SFF2010 to work as a discount code, so it might be a June or late May promo]

I had mine restyled to the euro plate last year, cost $400 but I don't have to pay a annual fee. I think it was $200 to restyle a plate if you pay an annual fee. All that worries me is if in the future I purchase a car that the euro plate wont fit, I would have to pay to have them restyled again.

so the plates which start N -- --- are big size front n back and so fill out the euro plate holder but for these restyles it's the same content as you already have e.g. -- -- -- or --- --- so you get the other Euro style plates which is full size rear and the smaller front one.
