Forge K04 Actuator - Info Required

Goran (KRA21E) and I are both running the blue spring. If you look at the videos from the dyno day you will hear that we both still have flutter when spooling up so the actuator won't change that. What it will change is how quickly the turbo spools. I noticed it while driving around after the change but made sure I didn't use full throttle until a new tune had been loaded. To get the full, safe benefit of the new actuator you really need the tune set up for it. Whilst Forge may have seen improvements I would second Tim's comments about talking to your tuner to see if they support the change.

I did the install myself and yes it is a turbo off job. You are fortunate that you don't have a driveshaft in the way so it should be a bit quicker.

Easier on a FWD though but yes a sh1t of a job but hey thats why we have faster cars than pretty much everyone else isn't it . I have some new software that I'm just getting across atm Michael then we'll do another couple of files for yours and get it happy again

I've found I'm getting the flutter in the higher gears from low rpm at maximum boost and was hoping the forge actuator might fix it. So is this flutter common in tuned K04's and is there no fix for it?

Very common in tuned K04's. The only way to get rid of it is to reduce the boost requested at lower rpm. Like Leigh I can get mine to flutter in any gear.

No not yet, I could start at any time but there are some annoying things with the K04 I'd rather get sorted on my own car first

Well hurry up and do it.....I want to know if i should just go iwg or ewg with the gtx3071r. You can get an iwg off us ebay for just over 2000 delivered for the tfsi. same as the atp one.
