Any GOLF owner here already plan to sell your VW for a FT86

hi everyone, not sure if i should create this thread as it doesn't really relate to VW...
anyway....i believe some ppl here would also know the new FT86 will be out to market shortly, and the price is just amazing -> 39.5k drive away for the top spec (yes confirmed by Toyota sales guy).
i currently have a 5 door GTI. am so tempted to sell it for a 86. i know they are different cars. its quite hard to compare. But am sure 86 is a gd car. I have read many reviews, no one actually put up any negative comment.

am not sure if i should give up the GTI's practical for a sporty 86. what do u guys think ?

not really.... if i had a choice next year, id get a GTI Upgrade. GTI is getting more power is it not? FT86 has high KW for 30k but no turbo and the torque level is quite small isnt it? and without breaking any rules or excessive speeding in this country, i dont care for kw as much for the torque, theres no pick up.... i may be wrong... ? but u know...and the interior is too flashy and cheap like a hyundai design

No plans as of now. But who knows?

In its current form it is not a daily driver. Need to test drive it to check if it is piss weak. Maybe when it gains a turbo down the road.

We will likely replace our WS Fiesta with a BRZ.

In current form, a great daily drive

A guy at work is counting down the days to the 18th of this month - he's very keen - and he's coming from Holden Monaro & SS territory, so quite a turn for him.

But in answer to your question...

Currently have a German (R), an "American" (WS Fiesta, German really), some Japanese (Swifts) and one or two others.

Love my R but not stupid enough to think VW come close to building a drivers car

As for this forum, it ain't exclusively German

    My GTI wasn't
