    VW Premium Bluetooth Kit Part Number?

    I've gotten to the end of my patience with my Kufatec Fiscon and I'm now thinking of swapping it out for a genuine VW Bluetooth kit. The only problem is working out what the right part number is, there are so many different options.....

    I was after the version that will also allow A2DP audio streaming and show it on my RNS - which I think the newest version does?

    Is the right part number: 5K0035730E?

    Any issues with this kit or the install?

    Thanks.

    I've installed the 'D' version in my golf and have had no problems with integration (Just need to have it programmed to access via the MFD).

    Can also do the bluetooth streaming, but it's a bit buggy with my phone (Samsung Galaxy S2, doesn't recognise it as a streaming device automatically)

    Any idea of the diff between D and E? This is where it starts getting confusing since both are currently for sale?

    Not sure, be good to know as well, as I was sent version D instead of the E.

    There are hardly any differences between the D & E etc. You will be fine with any version you get. I have a C and mine works fine with android (S2) and Iphone.

    Although I just hired a new A1 over the weekend in Melbourne, and was impressed with the BT kit in that. Streaming music via my S2, the car entertainment system displayed track names and even allowed me to change tracks etc using the steering wheel controls. Something I assume will be a feature in the Mk7.

    Thanks. That merc system sounds great!

    I actually thought that version E was meant to do this ... display the track names on the entertainment unit ... my Kufatec allows me to change songs using the steering wheel controls so again I thought that was a given with the VW version?

    Questions, questions.....

    A1 = Audi not Merc.

    Actually now that I think of it, I heard that the E is suppose to display track names too. If you get one and it does...let us know!
