Mk6 wheels on Mk5 GTI

Hey everyone,

I've done a quick but fruitless search on this subject so apologies if its been covered before (please point me in the right direction if it has.

After looking at the wheels pic threads and such I've decided I'd like to look at some new wheels. Now i actually like the design of the standard GTI wheels however mine are only 17's and I reckon 18's would look much nicer. I particularly like the Mk6 GTI wheels that have the black highlights on the inside of the holes. Im not sure of the name of the wheel but I'm sure someone will know what I'm on about...

I want to know if the Mk6 GTI wheels would be a straight swap onto the Mk5 GTI.

And if so id be keen to know if anyone out there has a set they are looking at getting rid of in 18" or 19 possibly if that was an option.

The 18's on the Mk6 GTI's are called Detroit's over here...

Very nice rim but VERY heavy..

They're a perfect fit for the Mk5. They are also probably the easiest wheels to clean..
