I recently noticed a noise that occurs when in D mode in DSG when it changes from 3rd to 2nd. There is a prounced 'clunk' approx. 2 seconds after the gear change.
I had a DP installed recently without an upgraded engine mount insert & it may be cauisng the problem.
I am in 2 minds: DSG or DP.
I don't normally drive slow enough or without music on so it may have been present for sometime without me noticing it ...
Any ideas sinmilar experiences?

Milltek dp, DAL344? I don't have the same problem as yours.
I have Milltek TBE and when the car is very hot I can hear 2 rings hitting each other at the back. Disappears immediately once I started cooling down the car.
Once back at home I jacked up the car, went under it and found my resonator touches the AWD tailshaft. When the exhaust is not hot, the distance between the exhaust and tailshaft is about 15mm. But when it's hot, they appear to brush each other. I can see bruise marks. Definitely coming from there.
Going to get my exhaust adjusted tomorrow and hopefully they can get it right.
Dave, have you put a tune on the car?
I'd take the DP off and get the DSG checked under warranty.
If it was something other than the DSG, it wouldn't matter if you were in D or what gear you were in...
to replicate the effect you'd have to push the pedal extremely fast to at least 50% throttle, and then fast, but not quite as fast as before to say 70-75%, and then a bit slower to say 85% - all in the time it takes me to push my pedal down 20-25% max
I'll consider that as a last resort...
There's a bit of kit I'd need to take off!

Dave r u getting those engine mount inserts installed? I would check with Joe to see if they came with the DP or not? Mine (and most others) came with the inserts... Perhaps if this noise is still there after that, then start looking at DSG check under warranty - but get Joe or Phillip to check it out when they're doing the engine mounts first.
The engine mount that came with Milltek is awesome. Cheap item but biggggggg difference.
get a full set of engine mounts it will make it even better!
Didn't get one with the DP... I've ordered one from Sydney via UK & I'll get it early next week .. I'll get it installed when I get the springs put on
I'm leaning towards it being the DP tbh ... but as you say I'll get Joe to have a look see. Then I'll look at the other mounts down the track ...
