From ADR 13 Vehicle Standard (Australian Design Rule 13/00 – Installation of Lighting and Light Signalling Devices on other than L-Group Vehicles) 2005, Section 6 Supplementary General Requirements, Table 1 provides that the colour emitted by your main beam headlamp needs to be WHITE.

Plenty of results for people having been given on the spot fines for parkers that were othere than white in colour. Also if you are unlucky enough to be pulled over by the cops, they WILL give you a ticket if your attitude isn't right.
To complement, the 4300K kit will do!

It depends really from the cop who stops you, but is more common sense to other drivers, plus if you use HID with Halogen headlights you don't really get all the performance for what the Xenon is designed for,

To be honest man...... its not really that bad, if u put it in an old jap car or an old car, then yeh ur an idiot, but with this golfs i can angle the headlights down and I tested it and its not in anyones eyes, have never even anyone highbeaming me cos it was too bright at all.

its not trying to look cool, the white lights of a HID really does help driving at night mate, yellow just isnt as bright or as clear anymore once im used to this shit, like a drug

They probably don't for the fear that the person they high beam could be some psycho and take offence to it and road rage them.

Yeah definitely.. Even you can put 10 to 12k into your car. It will give you a lot of heat. So keep it on the normal side then it should be fine.
