I must say (although a bit early) for the rocco, I would likely go CW with the black talledegas. I just... stare every time one goes past. In fact I think the owner is on this forum. He might have caught me staring as he drove down Oxford Street near Crown Street last Saturday around 7.00pm.

I love RB on the rocco over CW, then UG then CW, something about white its a good car to get a black and white theme going that looks sexy, but it looks a bit plain after abit i suppose (BUT THATS JUST ME !)

The demo I was quoted on had about 800km on the clock or so, had no options what-so-ever etc.

Edit : HOLY CRAP stock height rocco LOOKS DISGUSTING lol

I think I'll need to organise a Scirrocco drive - seems as though there's a few fans out there. I had never considered it - I suppose I was tunnel visioned on VW = Golf. I wonder what kind of pricing you can get on it? Would you expect less room to move - they seem to be few and far between in NSW?
I dunno, there seems to be a few dealers wishing to move stock. As always, see what the country dealers can do, they may be keener to move one along.

    My 2cents:

Golf R is very rounded, very fast. People who know me know my gripe with anything AWD so won't troll that one out again other than to say, yes quicker than GTI but requires less to get more out of it.

GTI is lighter, more alive but not as fast. You have to work it harder to extract better lines, quicker corners etc.

Scirrrroccccco - plenty big enough for child seats in back. Looks the goods, rarer, grunt of the R but nimbleness of GTI. Back to back quicker around a track than the R and $10k less. But older dashboard reminds me a lot of Mk5, whereas Golf 6's appear a half notch up. Roc owners could probably comment better?

Renault - Just not sold on the looks. Is a manic drive but 3 years with one? Not for me.

Toyota 86 - not driven. Interior is really rubbish unless you're trading up from a MY98 WRX in which case it's fine. Cheap as chips though but UK road tests are almost universal in being a bit let down by it. Don't expect to be able to plant it out of a corner and wag the tail, there's just not enough oomph. Blame the awesome tyres we all have these days even if they are only 195's.

If I was having my time again, notwithstanding the need for auto and load carrying I have, I would have a BMW 135 coupe on the shortlist in a heartbeat. Well built, 'une jolie-laide', more power than grip and still some avenues to mod here and there if you like to personalise your car a bit.

OH right! the 135i coupe, A worthy addition! though I don't think they go for 60k brand new.

the 86 interior isn't as bad as you make it out to be, sure against the european cars we drive it is lack-luster, but its a step up from toyotas other interiors, but its live-able but then i grew up with a corolla haha.

I much prefer the look of the stock R over that of the Scirocco.

And well done keeping your rims in such a nice condition

Man that's not right, i was wondering why it was soo high but i noticed you got the 18" wheel that's why you have the silver in the headlights as well.

This is my stock ride height

@frazza - what difference does rim size make to the lights colour? Excuse my ignorance on the topic.

To be honest i have no idea why VW did it but if you have 18" wheels you get the silver in the head lights but if you get the 19" wheel option they are all black
