I have created this thread so we can have the one place to go to research and talk about tyres, I have started with the basic’s looking across some of the threads I could find and as people have used different tyres and post there feedback I’ll update this first post so it’s always in the same place.
Please only post FIRSTHAND experience, no “my best mate had a set on his dunnydore and they were shit”

Review: So far so fkn good! about 2-3000k's and not once in the wet or dry have i had a slip light (note this is not pushing the car hard on public streets).
Noise is minimal (compared to the old ones that came off)

Brand & model: Continental ExtremeContact DW

Car fitted too: Golf R (Rising Blue, so much faster )
Cost: 160 USD each, 820 delivered x tirerack
Review: For the price, they are excellent. Great grip, in the wet or dry. Initially used to see what they were like on the track, proved their worth with excellent ability to grip in corners at speed.Downside is that they wear quicker than expected, dont think they will see the sunny side of 18k. I wouldnt rate them higher than the PS2/3s, but for the price they are perfect.

P.S. these tyres make me orgasm and they pull the chicks.

    I've got an EVO mag where they do a performance tyre test using an Audi S3 as the test car. The Results were;

    1. Continental Contisport Contant 3
    2. Hankook Ventus S1 Evo
    3. Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetic 2
    4. Michelin Polot Sport 3
    5. Perilli P Zero
    6. Bridgestone Potenza S001
    7. Dunlop Sport Maxx GT
    8. Vredestein Ultrac Cento
    9. Kumho Esta KU39 LE Sport
    10. Accelera Phi

I will try and get a digital copy of the article over the next couple of days.

I tend to think some mags are affiliated with tyre companies, as reviews are clouded sometimes. Look at user reviews on tirerack or non media related websites, for real world use.

I have emailed Tirerack but they didn't get back to me so I sent it again asking about Sumitomo HTR Z III's
    http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....2&autoModClar=

$524 + shipping (what is the shipping cost BTW?) + $120 fitted and balanced
I just asked in a local tyre dealer and they quoted me $1180 fitted and balanced, woah!

Has anyone had them before? I also saw they have Mich Pilot Sports, $900 delivered is still brilliant for that tyre... might consider those if the Sumitomo's are not recommended

They dont send Mich direct you have to go through a freight forwarding company (well they wouldnt for me) as stated about it was just over $900 del for my super sports.
