Does anyone know a link where i can find a formula to get the rigth adapter size. I saw in the other forums all final offsets but how do i know what size adapter to use. I drive a mk4 vr6 jetta. Original wheels are 15x7 35mm offset and am getting some17x8 with 52 offset. I need to find out how to calculate for adapters thickness. Thanks in advance for any help.

Educated guess says you're gonna need at least a 20mm adapter.

    Depends...
    Need to be fairly low.
    Most likely need a 215/40
I found when running 9s on the front I needed more like an et25 to get clearance to the strut, but awd cars seem to be able to do more like 9et33

    yes will work.
will need hubrings to bring the 67.1 centre bore down to 57.1 though (check ebay or your local tyre shop)
7et38 was a option offered on the mk4s from factory

    Multi-stud rims

Hi, I'm just wondering if multi-stud rims with an even spread of 8 holes on the rim can fit a 2001 mk4 golf at 5x100? (The rims have been on a 4x100 car)

8 holes will mean two lots of 4 stud patterns. So no.

Edit: actually it could be 4&5x100, but I wouldn't be putting that on my car.
    Got a picture?

Does anyone know if stock Subaru rims all have a centre bore size of 56.1mm or are they usually bigger with hub rings to fit? I want to put Subaru rims on my 2001 mk4 Golf but I'm not sure if the centre bore will fit.
The wheels are from a 2002 wrx Rally Sparco.

    Thanks
