I would think that considering the Km the car would be worth 30k +

A Pirelli with around 50k on the clock trades for 25-27k I believe.

The engine in your Pirelli is still used today in the Golf R and the GTI 35th Edition (special edition GTI).
Same engine? I don't think they are the same.
pirelli got 2.0TFSI but Golf R and Edition 35 got 2.0TSI. Are they the same?

Sorry, I just wander but I have never heard or seen TFSI engine on Golf R and Edition 35 really. Even on the engine cover, it says TSI not FSI turbo.

^ the engine cover says "TSI" on the current Golf GTI 35th Edition and Golf R because it "fits in" from a marketing point of view with the rest of the VW range, but it is infact the same TFSI engine that first appeared in 2006 in the Audi S3 and then a year or so later in the GTI Pirelli (albeit slightly detuned).

And the same engine is also used in the $100k Audi TT-S.

Thanks for the education on these rather interesting cars, went round my mates yesterday as I'm helping him with a few jobs, the car has 13K on the clock.
He had the original brouchure for the Pirelli with the price list, basically with all the options it $59 and a bit thousand.
Had another look round it and there is not a scratch on it!
    Can't wait.

So is it easy to unlock the extra power and what power and cost are you talking about?

Yep, I know it sounds daft, we needed to do a deal as he wants to buy another car and I needed the figures to work out the finance, I will buy it through work on a lease so as long as the price is fine all will be good!

Notice your motor has had some goodies added, what sort of performance increase has been gained and at what cost, hope you don't mind me asking.
