tracked my car many times but never been concerned about lap times.
i did out of curiosity take my GTI to the drags.
2008 VW Golf GTI mk5 with DSG
13.95sec @ 98.9mph
only mods being a neuspeed intake and bluefin. i was running stock 17s with conti CS2s with around 60% tread left

That's an awesome time.
Despite owning three GTIs I've never tracked one of them, haha. I did set a new PB for me at Wakefield on Friday though, 1:13.8 in my S3 (or thereabouts, the time was recorded on the car's in-dash lap timer). It was my first track day there for 2-3 years so I needed to blow a few cobwebs out at first. Have been shamed by times from Joey and 10d though.

@ Lima - Still 1:13's is a great lap time...... Ian Luff from memory got a 1:11.80 driving a standard/stock S3 at Wakefield Park.... That is the benchmark..... If your car is modified then you should be fasterSee you at the next track day......
