    Hi Ali,
Im trying to help a family member source some new tyres for a Mazda 2 Genki. The original tyres are Toyo Proxes R31A 195/45/16 which is a pretty un-common size these days. What would you recommend for this vehicle to give reasonable performance, a smooth and quiet ride and decent tread wear. The original Toyo's have lasted 35,000km of purely city driving.

Would it be worth moving to a 205/45 tyre to get more options in tyre brand? Although i guess the 45 profile is still quite rare on a 205 width tyre.

What we do have for a good price is the Nitto NT450 in 215/40R16. We picked them up at a GOOD price and they will work on your car as well. They will set you back $100 per corner.

    Thanks

Thanks for the reply Mick. These are a great price and seem like a reasonable tyre for such a car. Are you sure that 215's will fit on a Mazda 2 without any scrubbing/rubbing issues? The car has the standard 16" x 6.5" rims. Whats your freight cost for 4x tyres to Newcastle?
