Last night at VWGolf.net.au's 3rd B'day Party Bash @ Zen Garage I took delivery of my new daily driver. Jose's (JIG's) ABT Supercharged MKV R32.

I got the boys at SMOG car wraps next door to help me remove the massive Ramspeed "Tattoo" on the drivers side of the car. Unfortunately when trying to remove it, it lifts and damages the vinyl underneath. I had 2 options. Either pay to re-wrap the entire panel or take off all of the wrap. I thought Id sleep on it, but after way too many Alize's I yelled out at everyone still left at the party and asked everyone to help me remove the wrap (that's when the real party started HAHA!).

In no time at all (10 minutes?!) the wrap was off, and damn the car looks way classier (IMHO) without the wrap. United Grey R32 Golf, Gunmetal Grey R32 GT-R. The garage is looking good!

Whilst I received a lot of congratulations on the new car last night. I have to admit I was still feeling pretty down for not acquiring my first 911. All I can say is that it just wasn't meant to be, right now at least. After the party I was too drunk to drive home so we left the car, went into the city and ate a big meal, sobered up then I got a lift back to Zen.

At midnight I jumped into the bat mobile. I opened up the Capristo exhaust to full open and absolutely nailed it through the tunnels on my way home. That sound, it's glorious! She's damn fast off the lights too.

Plans? I like the wheels. Always have been a fan of 5 star rims. I like the sparkly paint on the wheels too. Really nice in person. Lime Green brakes? I'd love to paint them United Grey. I'd like to take the eyelids off. I'm worried I might damage the headlights in doing so as sikaflex isn't going to be easy to rip off. I'd like to change the paddle shifters. They're just so massive and they sit so cloe to the steering wheel that you have to have your fingers on them all the time. I am a massive fan of S2T paddle shifters (which I had in my old GTI). I'd love to have them again (in black of-course!). I'm so happy with the ride height. No scraping on anything on my way home last night. I could even go over speed humps at decent speed without the front lip scraping the ground. I love the ride too, not too soft, not too harsh and she feels way lighter in the corners than other R32's I've been in. Considering fatter rubber too, we'll see (I'm just so broke atm!). Oh, and plates. I need plates!

PS: Downshift blips in the car don't sound anywhere near as porn as the Kreissieg in Christina's car (SUGA). Not sure why, it just doesn't blip aggressively, which is a real shame. Upshifts don't make the trademark "fart" sound, which is also a shame (kinda). Sounds more like an automatic car with a loud exhaust. Not sure if this is the DSG tune, or Capristo, or what.

Congrats on the pick up Justin!

I know its not the 911 you hoped for, but considering the frequentcy you change cars, I'm sure you'll be in one soon enough - and for the mean time you've picked up a little monster!

With the amount of coin the previous owner has put into this thing, its hard to justify not buying it!

Nice acquisition! Hopefully you can get your exhaust sounding the way you want it to! The super charger should be sweet enough anyway if you cant!
