nice find, those seats almost look new!
While my mk1 16v is off the road at the paint shop, I been sitting around board out of my brain needing a mk1 fix! I always search for mk1s for sale because i know finding a decent mk1 is hard, i've been searching for around 4 years for a 2nd mk1 as good nick as my 2door and i found it
Picked up a 1978 mk1 GLD genuine 150.000kms or so (old speedo stopped working), from a old fellow that has spend alot of time and money keeping her in mint condition. Everything works and i mean everything and no missing trims or should say no cut up trims for speakers haha.
This is what it was and where it is now, still a few things need to be done to tidy her up to my satisfaction. I know pictures can hide alot but this thing has nothing to hide shes mint
What i have done so far. (in the 2 weeks ive owned it)
* hottuning coilovers
* rota jmag 16x7 wheels
* new front/rear bumpers
* changed grills
* duckbill
Still to come.
* front sway bar
* new dashboard
* stealth stereo system
* new guard spats

Love your mk1.
Awesome Andrew. What a fine xample...She 's a keeper
Thanks for comments guys I love the old girl. Just something about old school cars ive alway liked ive been down many paths new, old and imports, seem to always step back into the old stuff my mk1 2door has been with me though most of my fazes. Now with the new addition i think the mk1 bug has been cemented into my brain for the long term.
You will have to give this forum a run down of your 16V too Andrew![]()
