    Tarmac Engineering Intercooler

    Tarmac Engineering Intercooler

Modifying your car usually involves re-mapping the ECU. When this is done an increase in boost from the turbo charger is needed to achieve more power. Unfortunately with this comes a lot more heat which in turn creates higher intake temperatures. Whilst the stock intercooler on the car does its job at factory power levels it cannot keep up with higher amounts of heat created from an increase in boost. If the intake temperatures rise too much the ECU will start to retard timing which results in a loss of power. The only way to counteract this is by upgrading the intercooler.

    Why this intercooler?
    • Large high flow bar and plate core. 600mm x 415mm x 57mm
    • Efficient end tank design which has been calculated to provide a low pressure drop. If the end tanks are too large or the core doesn't flow efficiently enough it will result in a higher pressure drop. The lower the pressure drop the less the turbo charger has to work which prolongs the lifetime of the turbo charger
    • Each intercooler is strictly pressure tested to ensure quality is provided
    • Fits to factory mounting points. No modifications required
    • Comes with all hoses and clamps for installation
    • Local support
    • Free Delivery Australia wide

They can be purchased here. They are in stock and ready to ship.

It's a real shame that you won't be able to see the Logo on it. Maybe next thing you provide could be a Twintercooler.

LOL yeah i know. Takes a while to put the logo on too. The problem with a twin intercooler is the pressure drop is too much a the volume is too large which means the turbo charger ends up working too hard

Twintercooler is a fail at any level. It 'might' work if you've got a GT30 or above pushing closer to 30psi but to date I've only seen it used once in a high power car that made a number.

It's really a band aid that doesn't really work very well, especially in a K03/K04 scenario.

Love the cooler Ben****. A month too late
