Feature: So over people hating on "stance"

Last night (after downing a few double shots of Vodka) I posted a facebook status:

“So over people hating on “stanced” cars. Get over it! It’s how cars are meant to look if our roads were perfectly smooth!”

It opened a can of worms (as expected!). With 158 replies, some fantastic, some pathetic, some hilarious and much butt hurt.

What's going on here, article by Justin Fox yet we have details in the bio above for Robert Green? Why the secrecy?

I think the key note is that alcohol was involved.

Quite a few "interesting" assumptions and statements made in the article. I guess that's why it's a forum

I think everyone to its own mind, respect! is the key, like it or not, it's your car, your money, and what you want, as long as you don't become an annoying thing on the streets...

Yes, there some cars that make laugh, some shrug, some i'd say fuck no!, and some like that Porsche that I'd would love to have in my garage...

I think the reason that some people hate the whole stance thing, isn't that Porsche.

    I reckon it looks stupid.

It's up to the individual to decide how to modify their car. But I'm not going to not laugh at something that looks ridiculous at the risk of upsetting some poor widdle diddums that think he is awesome of winding down his coilovers as far as possible 'cause stance and rips out his sump in a carpark. Just like plenty of people laughed at the kids with red racing harnesses in his diesel Golf.
2012 Citroen DS3 Dsport. Not bad actually.

I think having paint and fender cracks and worrying about going on corners because it might scrape or pull the fenders off or having 5 to 10cm rubber contact on the road is not my idea of stance. A perfect stance should not compromise drivability, safety and reliability. Odten however it does and that is why people who have proper stance get a bad wrap from the people who have improper stance.
