If anyone interested in the Bell & Ross, I know a good shop that can do good prices
Holy smoke batman! Those are definitely some very nice watches!

Thanks for the heads up on the PAM28L, I hadn't seen too many where the seconds hand is not located on a subdial at 9 o'clock. The PAM's are very distinctive in their size and shape. Pity the retailers here don't get many in. Rambo likes the PAM's.

AP ROO, never really looked into these, funny cos Arnie likes the AP range as well.

I'm still inclined towards a Franck Muller, the guilloche on the faces are something special.

Thought of trading them in for an R36 turbo build in the GTI? I'm pretty sure they could fund it.

I don't/won't wear a watch. I'm too devastated when they get scratched.

Although this morning I noticed Grant Denyer (Sunrise weatherman / car racer) had a watch the size of his head on his wrist.
Looked a bit weird, but it still made him look like he's ballin.

ok - carry on gents. excuse me.
I has this one for knocking around at the moment.

Haha. Nope. Car is too flashy. You can wear a $30k watch and nobody notice. You drive a Porsche and people notice.

I love watches so its probably one of the first things I check out. But you are right. Most people probably wouldn't spot anything past your usual "luxury" watch brands and know what they are looking at.

You don't need a watch nowadays with your mobile phone being able to tell the time. Therfore it's even more a luxury and appreciation of the mechanicall movement more than anything else.

So what exactly floats your swiss mechanical boat?

How vintage, obscure, complicate or rare do you want to go?

Would you go for the one best one at the top of your list, or start collecting a lot of watches, step by step?

    Hmmmm.... [goes through empty wallet]

It's no Vacheron Constantin, but the design has that perfect blend of Motorsports and Elegance!

... Must... Resist... Voices... in... Head.. "go and buy it, Howie!"
