    Antenna base gasket

    Hey Guys,

Anyone know where to get one of these antenna gaskets for my Mk5 GTI??? I looked on Dubaddiction and it says they are sold out. Also, how hard is installation? I heard you have to pull back the roof lining? Sounds like a bit of a pain in the arse...

eBay mate... replaced mine about a year ago and it just slips over the top. Trick is to heat it in some boiling water to soften the plastic.

Yup thats the one. Had same issue just like adey88 said put in boiling water make sure it sits flush with surface may need to use a plastic spatula to assist in getting the seal to sit correctly

Hey if anyone cares, I bought the exact gasket off Ebay as recommended and even with heating it in boiling water there was no way It was going to fit on just by slipping it over the top. I pretty much had to get in under the headliner and loosen the antenna a bit to fit it over. It was a bit of a shit trying to work it out, but now I know, it is actually quite easy. If anyone needs more info just give me a message, Id be happy to help...
