    2011 Tiguan Oil Filter Location

    Hi guys,

Where is the Oil Filter location?

I'm confused. There is a filter at the bottom where you drain the oil like the Golf R and a Filter at the top in the engine bay.

Spare Box sales a filter without the canister. Seeing videos you need a oil filter canister which spare box doesn't sell to change the oil filter in the engine bay. Can anyone confirm the location and type of filter?

    Thanks in advance

Mk7 Golf R filter is at the top and is inside a canister. Havent seen the Tiguan setup but i do believe its the same.

    Sorry It's a TDI 2.0.

Oh okay on top. im just confused becuase their is a bottom filter and a top one. i service my Golf R MK6 and the filter is at the bottom.

also , i seen people change the top filter which is a whole cantister and Spare box says it's a Filter without the canister (just internal parts).
