    Bluetooth 9w7 Install for RNS510

    Hi all,

I've been wanting to install a 9w7 bluetooth module to my Mk5 for a while, but I have not been able to find someone who can supply a module and do the installation in one go.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

    Thanks in advance,

    Dazz

    Where are you based Dazz?

If in Melbourne I could assist.

    Hey mate,

    Unfortunately I'm based in Sydney.

Do you think you could give me ball park figure on what an install with you would be?

    Really appreciate it

I would get a second hand module (pretty sure there's a 9W7 going right now on here) and DIY. I've done a couple for mates and it's quite straight forward if you're careful, have got the right tools and are even a little savvy with tools. There's also a few good guides on YT so you won't really be lost. I think I remember being quoted 400 for installation and parts (for me to upgrade to a 9w7) but not sure if they would have taken that off for trading in my 9w2.

    Daz,

I have a second hand module I can post you, took it out of my old MK6, just sitting in cupboard.

Thanks for the help Chris and Andrew,
I managed to pick up a unit for cheap and sourced harnesses as well. After abit more research, in order to get the 9w7 working on a red MFD and steering wheel, I had to get a FIS CAN converter.
Just a small heads up if anybody wants to use 9w7 BT modules and newer for older cars like mine.
Turns out, the install is pretty easy as well (just like Chris mentioned).

    Cheers
