I replaced mine about 2 months ago after it died while I was parked at work. Spent $455 on some new battery that could only be used because of the start-stop system in the car. Ill see if I can find the name of it. Bought it from BatteryWorld.

Well I have just been told by my dealership where my car is in for a service that my battery is dying on my trendline. Cost $450!
I'll ask as well, is this the average price for one that is a stop/start Eco model???

My GTI it was originally fitted with a Moll EFB which died despite careful use of a ctek smart charger. I upgraded from an EFB to an AGM battery and went with a Supercharge MF66HSS which was $290 from Batterymart in Tempe, Sydney. Not sure if the R battery is higher rated.

My first option was a Varta or Bosch but they were around the $400-$450 mark. The supercharge probably doesn't have the same warranty level as the other 2 but I rarely use stop/start now and keep a close eye on the battery so hope to get some decent life out of this one.
