    New Tyres

I need some new boots for my MY14 mk7. Still have the original 225.45.17 Turanzas made in Poland. They have been good tyres, albeit a bit noisy. Anybody have an alternate tyre which will do the job?

Pirella Dragon Sport have been good.
Not super sticky but great for everyday driving.
If the car is not a daily the Potenzas are hard to beat in my opinion.

I've had Potenza on my '11 Golf 103 TDI and true that, it's hard to beat them.

    I've had a quote for Turanza Serenity Plus TL 225/45R17 91W - $756
    Potenza Adrenalin RE003 TL 225/45R17 94W - $716 and
    PotenzaS001 RFT 225/45R17 91W - $956
Big price jump between 94W and 91W.

My MK7 Highline is driving around on the Dunlop Sports Max RT tyres provided by the dealer (replaced once).

Apart from a number of nail punctures (Can't blame the tyres) they have been great. Super quiet and great to drive in.

Not cheap but if you shop around you can get them on special

Just changed out the Michelin a/s 3+ for Yokohama Avid Ascend GT 225/45R17 . An excellent choice

best tires hands down for the MK7/RS3/A45 are the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. Impeccable handling in the dry and even in the wet. you will feel like you're on train tracks, you can dive into corners and still manage to turn without any slip. Unbelievable tires. Had mine on the car for 34,000km and now its time for a new set!
