I have recently purchased a 2007 Mark 5 R32 five door. It come with factory Recaro race seats and I have now changed them for standard factory R32 seats. The issue is that the race seats do not have side airbags so the coding in the current configuration does not include the two additional codes (N199 and N200) for the side airbags.

I've spoken to a VW dealer in Canberra and they have advised that they are unable to put in the additional lines of code because Volkswagen Australia advised that because this is a change to the safety of the car (albeit adding in airbags which is an improvement).

If anyone has any advice as to how I can make this happen it would be greatly appreciated.
