They delivered my car back to me yesterday afternoon, it's like an igloo inside now
I spoke to the guy (a european car specialist at Slacks Creek) who arranged the air con replacement (who IS competent) he told me there is no limit to how much the car yard I bought the car through will try to cut corners to save a buck! Right from the point of safety certificates, they just insist on a quick go-over no questions asked and straight to the car lot, needless to say the problems do come back to haunt them in the form of pissed off customers and repair bills.
This car yard's staff turnover is incredible, during my long ordeal I've had four different people handling my cars issues, staff sacked, staff moved, I even had to phone the companies GM as I got so dicked-around by the yard itself, even he was un-professional in his lack of follow-up.
If there are problems hopefully they happen under statutory warranty (only three months in QLD) so some poor unsuspecting punter doesn't get lumped with some very expensive repair costs.
Btw, according to the Office Of Fair Trading, every day you lose your vehicle due to repairs/faults under statutory warranty gets added to the end of the warranty, so I've got an extra five or so weeks WTF.
