Elvis has not left the building, in fact he is alive and well in the Western suburbs of Melbourne.
Let's face it, VW dealers have to cover the costs of staff and expensive facilities, their service fees reflect this.
If you need a good mechanic, I can recommend Elvis. He's a young fella about to start a family, and deserves a plug. I have visited him twice now, and must say, I'm impressed. My last visit was for the 75,000 km service on my Golf MK5 FSI, and saved well over $100. He's got all the tools you could poke a stick at including a laptop and VAGCOM.
The service took around two hours carried out with careful precision following a mental check list. I hung around for 10 minutes, and in less than that time, the car was up on stands, and the wheels off for a brake disk check measure. Returning from my walk, all was done, a new sticker on the windscreen, the "service now" message restored, and a 7 page report and bill of health handed to me.
