    Q) Unclip the PCV Hose that goes from the manifold down next to the pump Where is this PCV hose? Is it visible from the photo??
    A) This is the accordion looking hose that goes from the boost tap (in the photo above) up to where the PCV plate is. The hose that is between the two yellow arrows.

    Q) Using the 14mm modified Ring spanner, undo the fuel line going to the valve and move out of the way. Is this done from below? i.e why you remove the DV + bracket??
    A) I believe this is done from the top/front of the intake manifold, but may vary depending on your tools and size of your hands/fingers etc. Removing the DV bracket allows you to move the DV out of the way for better access to the rail valve.

Valve is easy. Crows foot to get the fuel line off it and then 17mm spanner down between the intake runners to remove. I use 1 sidchrome 17mm ring spanner and a $1 spanner from supercheap. for some reason the notches are in different spots. Once its cracked you can get it out easy.
You need to remove the DV completely. Your first pic, red circle. 2 bolts upside down. Remove them too so you can get a spanner etc in there to move the fuel line out the way.

Apologies for reviving an old thread - but i just wanted to update this with my experience incase it can be of any help to someone else. I just installed my RS4 fuel rail valve last night while im doing my HPFP and intercooler. With the front of the car removed, you can get to the fuel valve with "relative" ease for a DIY'er using a standard 14mm spanner and then a 17mm long socket.

    - Remove the DV and rubber pipe connecting it to the throttle body pipe.
    - Undo 2 x T30 torx screws securing the high pressure fuel lines ontop of the inlet manifold.
    - Crack the sliver fuel line nut with a standard 14mm open ended spanner. Once it is cracked, you can very easily undo it with your fingers. Slide the nut back onto the fuel line and move that fuel line out of the way (you can move it about 2cm out the way). Note that i had also removed my HPFP at this time which gave the fuel lines even more movement.
    - Slide a long 17mm socket over the stock fuel valve and crack it. Once cracked, you can unscrew it very easily either by hand of continue using the socket.
    - Do the reverse of this to get the new RS4/HPFP Upgrade valve fitted and re-fit the fuel lines etc.

Pic of the fuel rail valve with the fuel line removed and moved out of the way:
