Been spotting you driving down hoxton park road in the morning as I hurry along to pick up the misses. Looking sweet.

    Kraftwerk, Scorpion and Unibrace Review

    Hi guys,

I’ll try to make my review as much detail as I can,

After the installation of my Kraftwerk Stage2, firstly I want to thank to Ramspeed for their quick and spot-on work done to my car so I could drive it with all the toys on Saturday,

Kraftwerk Tune: immediately I felt the car behaviour different, more grunt, more push but at the same time smooth, not just power coming out like crazy from the wheels, but a nice built up and if I kept there and then I needed more the response was there, but this was just street driving, not much fun on that going to traffic light to traffic light at top speed is not my thing, so,

On Saturday in the Kangaroo Valley I had the chance to test the M and S modes, the first one on the way out of the city and suburban areas to the meeting point and cruising early in the morning I had a chance to back street a bit, the M mode has heaps better response, the drive is fun even in 2nd or 3rd gears at low revs due to the constant turns, speed bumps, lights, etc,
I don’t “wait” anymore if I can describe the feeling correctly, like before, that sometimes you press the throttle and then???...... now I can almost brake to the point to stop and hit the throttle again and keep going, this obviously makes me heaps happy, the power remains in the Low and Medium revs 2500-3500rpm’s,

Now, the S mode, this was just crazy!, as soon as I pressed the throttle an smile came out my face, just a touch and the car is there where I wanted, at higher revs 4500-5500rpm’s I could feel the car asking for more, on the hills and corners, the feeling is totally addictive, and adding the sound of the Scorpion is insane, gear up or down, exactly what I wanted, no more jolt present coming down the 3rd and 2nd gears, the torque is also very improved from stock 280Nm to 415Nm, it moves faster and sharper, agile will be the word,

No lost of traction whatsoever at any point, the car always remained under control, and the fuel economy stays the same, obviously on S mode there’s a difference,

In resume, I’ll say I like it very very much, I feel my car on the best place for the tune now, the response in low driving is as good as exiting the hard driving, the VWR intake sounds awesome makes a whistle and is more notorious now, together with the diverter valve and the exhaust, music for my ears!,

I really feel connected with the car, obviously this is just the beginning one day is not enough to review the development of years and newer versions like mine of Kraftwerk, there's plenty room for more, as personal choice I'll totally recommend it, I'll invite others to review, research, learn from the most experienced and the most important thing is not to believe the gossip, or what "someone told you" we all want different things even on similar paths,

Unibrace: As I told some of the guys it does improves a lot the car handling, you can clearly notice the difference running Stock suspension, but I guess having coilovers, springs, sway bars, etc, it will be hard to tell, but for sure does the work the body of my car feels more rigid turning on tight corners,

Scorpion: Well this is hard to tell or explain, everyone asked me how loud it is?, I can’t tell I love it as it is, but my sense of the sound couldn’t match others, so I’ll let you to decide,

Power gains?, I don’t believe in dynos either, due to the amount of external factors not present at the time, dyno setup, weather, etc, but I’ll get a run in some point to figure the power gain between the Tune and Exhaust,

Special THANKS: To Jose (Jig), Adam (Adamoole), Paul (Dub), Rob (DBP), for my constant annoying questions,
Ramspeed Team: Thomas and Andrew, always there to respond all my questions even the stupid ones,

    Cheers!

Nice write up champ. Good to hear a detailed analysis, and a happy outcome.

Can I just add to your thread here by saying, I had the chance to be both the car behind, and the car in front of you on the cruise, so got a really good look at the way the car looked, moved, and behaved on the road. I have to say, your car is looking fan-bloody-tastic !!!

The scorpion exhaust really sets off that rear, and the front is rather aggressive with the simple blacked out badge on a red car.

Honestly, I dont even think you need coilovers, the stance on the road really looks good mate. Just something to think about.

Very happy for you. All the patient waiting has paid off. Congratulations

Beautiful work Marco! I particularly like this paragraph here ^. I drive in S mode full time and I really love how it marries to the tune. So responsive. I also don't experience any traction issues.

So happy that you're happy - like Paul said, all your research & patience (I'm not really acquainted with that viture ) has paid off. On top of that - she looks HOT, just as the heading suggests!

Thanks man, yes I'm seriously thinking on the suspension, maybe like were saying just springs, so many things come to my mind at once, and yes! the back badge is on the list of Gloss Black bits!!

I was going to ask you how your performance mods have worked and it sounds like they worked for you favourably. You've made a good choice there with your mods. Hope to see your car on the DIY day.

Marco, glad you are happy with the results. As Paul said the car is sitting nicely on the stock coils and the exhaust sounds and looks great, really fills the stock rear Valance nicely. The Scorpion gives off such a nice note too - car is looking great!
