Tyres is probably whatever it ships with OEM. They are from some guy that paid for them to be optioned up on a MKVI then upgraded to 19", don't know the bloke but the place he got it done at has been talked into selling them for him. I've always been a fan of the Detroits but they are a heavy wheel.

For that price I can't justify it as that would be close to BBS even from Jaxquickfit. Might try to find out who it is and talk the private seller down a bit for them.

Aussie $ is very strong. I'd head to www.tirerack.com and get those BBS.

Test driven an Evolution X MR today. Always curios for one, nice car, a lot of gizmo, but for 80k, too much moolah and still lacking power.

For Melbourne members. Did anyone feel what I suspect was an earthquake at about 7.12pm?

Confirmed. 3.9 magnitude, centered on Port Phillip Bay.

I almost purchased Rear R20 LEDs for my GTI a minite ago, all up with the parts needed works out as AUS$950ish plus shipping.

So close, then thought of the wife's reaction when the package arrived, and then my slow and painful death and thought better of it

    Ha!

No way my wife has a very very long memory when it comes to things to hold over me, and being brought up by a Chinese Businessman (her dad) she watches money like a eagle watches its prey.....

Tough cookie to crack, might require more time and effort. Any family holidays planned soon?
