Car is sitting at home for a week on it's ass while I'm away for work

Is there anyone who can tell me the minimum/maximum numbers for size and offset for wheels on mk6 Golfs? I want 19x8.5 +35 but that might be a bit too extreme.

    Geof,

Given you now have bags, whole new kettle of fish. Personally I think there is little point in running 19's with bags, but its up to you. I wouldnt be extending beyond 8" max. Offset hmm, maybe 45. 35 would be too aggressive.

Your car is tight as is with the 18's, and they are at 8.5 wide. 19" will accentuate this more, so just be careful

Hmmmm already running 8.5 and they're fine and I plan on rolling the guards for more tuck when I get new wheels. I would go full custom to get the most offset but that path leads to a mothball infested wallet. Really want 19's but I don't know how they'll sit in so I need to find someone who has a set that size so I can try them on otherwise I'll just stick to 18.
