    Istanbul Photos

    Hey Guys

I went on a trip to Istanbul Recently. One of the most amazing places I've been to for sure!

Anyway though I would share a few pictures as I get round to sorting and editing them!

Also, I want to print some of them at a large size, especially the multi-shot panoramas - so if any photoshop gurus want to assist me here by helping me get the best looking print, it would be awesome! I know some of you are AMAZING at post processing. They were all shot on a Lumix GF1. I sometimes longed for an SLR and zoom, but the lightweight and portability of the GF1 made up for it, plus you didnt look too touristy carting a huge SLR around

    Full size photos here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/saadme/...7628784964839/

Anyway here are a few from the Blue Mosque after Friday prayers:

Galata Tower Panorama (I wish I had gone in the evening with better light. Would love to print this picture huge, but it requires some more post I think)

    Very nice pano's Saad.
    Especially the second.

If I eventually do some overseas travelling I can see me investing in a smaller compact SLR like the GF1.
Couldn't see me lugging the bulky D90 around

Great photos - Turkey is def high on my list for the next trip.

I bought a GF1 for my last trip to Europe - takes good shots and easy to carry around, good size sensor - pancake lense is the go. Just doesn't quite capture the depth you'll get with the bigger SLR's.

Great photos Saad, we loved Istanbul - one of our favourite Euro cities and one we look forward to returning to.

I love turkey!! I was there in July and thought that it was amazing and beautiful although the call to prayer was a little annoying at 4:30 in the morning!! I was only in istanbul for a few days but found it amazing and I would love to go back one day... Looks like you had an awesome time and I hope you post up more photos!!
