Just curious, do you need to install all updates or can you just install the latest update on its own (does it include all previous updates)?

It will fit on a 640meg CD or you can put it on a dvd, works the same.

The disc came from a car with firmware 3970 installed on the RNS-510.

I have not installed the maps myself as yet. But i am sure if your current firmware is incompatible it will tell you during the install process. Then you can update to 3970, which I have available.

This will update all maps versions. e.g. If you have V3 you can go straight to V5.

You will need to get into the TESTMENU.

Hold the setup button till the radio menu appears then keep holding it for a further 4-5 seconds. The TESTMENU should appear. It is does not then it is not enabled and you will need to enable it in the canbus with VAGCOM (VCDS)

Controller 37 or 57 Channel 50 Change the value from 0 to 1

I can do this for you if you are in Sydney.
