How easy is it for you to get parts?

Guys, just a thought, but i would beleive getting parts over there is a problem.
If theres anything you need, let me know and i'll see what i can do
I've got family in Oz, and send stuff to them a few times a year, so i'm sure we could sort something if it helps.
But please, please dont ask for Happich pop out windows!!!!

    Cheers
    Russ

Cheers for the offer Russ, any help is appreciated!

It's not too difficult getting parts as most web based companies are willing to ship. The problem is cost, from postage and exchange rates. When i had my MK2 it cost me over $800 to get a set of AP coilovers. Then on top of that if your importing more than $1000 worth of goods you're liable for import duty of 10% and it gets complicated.

When i first got here i wanted another MK2 to play with but it quickly became apparent that things are very different over here because the MK2 is a rare car. Less than 500 in the country i think and of those there's only around 20 3 door cars, so popping down to the wreckers for a few bits is out of the question.

Anyway, i'm rambling. Hopefully it'll get better because Duby a member on here and vw watercooled (the 'other' forum) is setting up a supply chain with some well known specialists in the UK.

Box me up or get a rough dimension. Wood on one side and cardboard on the other should be fine.
