its just a 7D on steroids and full frame..... but who cares i'll be buying one

it has one huge feature difference over the 5D.. a much better faster focusing system and a much better user interface.... i didnt buy the 5d mk2 for that reason... wasnt a huge fan of the focusing system!!!

I happen to like my 7D and will keeping that as a back up.. and the 5D Mk3 will do just fine... in reality the 5D Mk2 is a great camera and if it aint broke done fix it... just beef up the areas its down on !!

True Rob on your impressions of the mk3... i dont use auto focus feature on my mk2 so that won't benefit me at all, i'm pretty sure it said 60fps for movie though... hmm ok if thats the case i could be tempted... fk.

you may wanna reconsider not getting the 5dM3

heres a comparison table...whats key is the low light performance of the thing.. superior to the 5dMk2 and D800...

and what i love best and wanted.. dual card slot... SD & CF...!!! I think the 5dM3 Is pretty good in my mind i've already pre-ordered mine

Hmmm I'm still going 70-200 2.8 IS II lens before I upgrade my trusty 500D. Nothing wrong with my body (it's taught trim and terrific) at the moment and I want to see where the prices land. Currently $3,500 USD but seems Aussie prices are about $1k more than that! If any local distributors are reading this, I can tell you to get effed, I'll take my chances on a grey import for that savings amount.
