    April's ED35

    Welcome

This Ed35 is one of 200 released in Australia for the GTI's 35th anniversary in September 2011, and one of only 20 total allocated to Western Australia. Originally looking at an R to replace my AWD Lancer Ralliart, I was put off by the 4 month wait & happened upon info of the impending Ed35 release the following month. So began an epic battle to secure one of the last unspoken for cars as I approached all participating dealerships. In the end, the one I had my heart set on was mine.

I didn't want to mess with perfection but my whole premise in undertaking this little mod journey was to unlock most of the performance potential available.

Cosmetically, the only thing I have added is a mild tint. I love the wheels and they are staying, so there are no plans for suspension modifications beyond a swaybar & ALK. As she came with a juicy K04 Turbo (making her the bigger sister of the usual GTI), it was clear I'd want to tap into that de-tuned potential.

The 2nd pic and the one of the LED's have come out full size, the others are a bit small but still viewable.
