But you can't run wider than an 8.5" on a MkV. It just can't be done Adam!

Tendy's Scirocco on LM-R's, perfect fit, perfect design, perfectly suited to the car

Any one of Dylan's combinations on his Bora
Tommy's R32 when his S1's are built, Justin's R32 Pierre's old Mk4 (still the nicest red VW in Aus ever)
    Devin's Mk3, Stu's Mk3, Jarred's Mk3, Reece's Mk3 (well its damn slammed), Rayray's Mk3 fitments and current A3 (airride + width)
    Mk1's (Dom's on RM's, Udana's on RS's, Josh on Ronal Turbo's (IIRC)

    Few decent ones out

Give it time fella's. Not many young 'uns rolling mk6 and mk5's who are also prepared to take some risks with fitment....not to mention PITA of getting done by the nabbers...

    Kyne's mkV deserves a mention

to replicate the effect you'd have to push the pedal extremely fast to at least 50% throttle, and then fast, but not quite as fast as before to say 70-75%, and then a bit slower to say 85% - all in the time it takes me to push my pedal down 20-25% max

Yeah true that, depends how crazy you are I guess. 8.5 is close to the limit on the front of the MKV's you can go a bit further on the rear though, like some doods in the states running 11' rims on the rear on 235's LOL but that is an extreme example. Front 8.5 and rear 9.5 would be more sane and I have seen many running 8.5 front and 9 rear of course.
I better throw a couple of Troys Polo in to, not sure on his specs though.
