    Has anyone done a DIY for the HPFP swap? Or do they have a DIY from another forum/location that they referenced?

    Not sure if this is me Ben.
    I know the pump itself doesn't provide any power. I'm having a base run done on the dyno prior to the pump going in and thought I may be able to use the dyno to run the pump in. Having said that, probably no point, will just do it over a few days.

    By the way, in the run in procedure, do you rev "up to 1500rpm" by blipping the revs or hold it continuously at 1500 for a minute?
    Thanks all

    Should clarify. Base run is base run for power pre BPS tune not pre pump base run.

    The fuel pump is straight forward however the RAIL VALVE is a biatch.

    Cheers Kevin - yes i am aware the fuel rail is a biiatch, just didn't know if theres a sequence or steps to remove / replace the HPFP. I'll be buying a HPFP in a couple of months and already have the RS4 rail. And i enjoy doing the work myself as long as its DIY-able.

    I havent done a search myself as it was beyond my ablities with the rail valve however my two big tips are;

    1. Release pressure on fuel pump before dismantling
    2. Do not open drivers car door during the install process!!

    Thanks again Kev. Point #2 is obvioulsy a good one as the door triggers the pump to turn on.....which would be messy if you have it 1/2 dismantled...!!

    I just found these DIY's. I cant see the pics in the golfmk5.net one, but i think thats my work server blocking the images? Not sure.

    Awesome news, got my Fuel pump and rail valve! Unfortunately there was no cam follower which I paid for so thats a bit disappointing given that its booked in thursday for all to be fitted. Will have to get one somewhere else. Does any one know this guy? Or maybe I should just get one form Dubadiction or maybe vw? Damn what a pain!

    I didn't think the cam follower was ready yet to ship unless John told you otherwise as a few of us have been enquiring. Tarmac's Cam Follower was unmarked so I didnt bother changing mine for the moment. I will just check regularly for signs of wear. The cam follower is easy to change so do it later on. Just check yours when you the fuel pump to ensure thaey are no stress points. K
