Good luck with the build mate.
Apparently peanut butter (non crunchy) works a treat on faded black plastic.
Not taking the piss either. Havent tried it myself.
Hi all,
I've left a deposit on this VR6 last Thursday, will be picking it up this weekend or Monday :

There are some small bits & pieces need to be done on it, interior needs to be changed to black leather with red stiching, full polish and buff, bigger wheels and tyres, nice sound system...
I'll post some pics when I get the car and finish it off.

Peanut butter hey?
Forever black works alright, lasted 8 months in the sun everyday.. I'd spend the cash and just get them professionally painted.
Looks like a good ride. Hope it's a good ownership for you.
Linseed oil works best as does kiwi boot polish. Peanut butter sounds a bit too messy.

Love the VR6's, seems like you have the resources necessary to make it awesome!
Thanks guys,
I have also ordered thses plates for it "VW VR6" red with white fonts...
In case you were planning on taking "VR6" plates only to find out they were unavailable.. Sorry bout that, that was my doing![]()
Keeping an eye on this one!
No longer rockin the VR-Sex. Onto bigger and better.
Please restore the black plastics rather than colour coding.
IMO the black plastics is what gives the early VR6's their stand out look to standard Mk3's on the road.
Paint them gloss black![]()
