They're saying it's ready ad it's a bad batch of fuel. Considering its early April for the first vid and late April for the second and 4 tanks in between, I find it hard to believe its bad fuel

Bizarre...so they wash their hands of the responsibility of fixing under warranty and presumably charge you for the full fuel system flush?

It's oil plain and simple, as for where it's coming from, I'd say its one of two possible sources, PCV or T/C.

You either have a PCV issue (but that should present itself with an engine light with an accompanying DTC pointing at all things in PCV land ) or it's the Turbo Charger. In the first video you can see the faint blue tinge to the smoke (not condensation) under load as you took off from the lights, it looks alot like the multiple cars I've seen with leaking turbos, usually a blown seal is to blame.

This is what you find when a turbo has blown a seal:

Yeah, basically washed their hands... So not impressed. One advisor said it was due to the crap that was In The tank. I countered saying it has been 5/6 tanks in between the first and the second, so I find this highly unlikely! Going to drive it tomorrow (gf has the car) so I'll see what happens then.

As we knew it would. Show them the videos, and politely tell them to pull their head out of their butts.

Have you been cheecking your oil levels since this started?

A lot of the 6R Polo GTi (which uses a slightly tuned up version of the twincharger) owners report really bad ring sealing giving massive oil use and low compression but it usually shows up well before your mileage

Showed them and they insisted it was bad fuel. Going to take it somewhere else.

    Hey Oz,

Apologies for not chiming in earlier, did see your thread, but had limited time.

I MAY have some form of an explanation for you issue.

Keep in mind this is from my old Audi A3 - EA113 motor (not 888 like your MK6), but the parallels could help you narrow down the issue.

30km or so after filling up a fresh tank of petrol, I started seeing smoke like yours coming out the tail pipe. For me, it was particularly bad if I was on an incline. But it didn't seem to have an adverse effect on performance. I had a vag com, so I plugged it in to see what was up, and it threw a couple of codes, the most concerning (and, at the time, most worth chasing down), was a fuel rail pressure code, upon replacing fuel filter, checking and testing and alternate fuel pump, no improvement was made.

Anyways, to cut a long (3 month) story short. It turned out to be the rocker cover.... for whatever reason, the rocker cover had failed, and was allowing (what I presume) is the recirc'ed oil/vapour from the PCV back into the rocker cover. Once changed, no smoke....

Hope this helps you look into it. PM me for further deets.

I would guess you have that back to front. The PCV takes vapours from the rocker cover, and when the car/inlet manifold is under vacuum (i.e. not boosting) the PCV allows the vapours to get sucked into the inlet manifold to be burnt by the engine. With a failed PCV valve, the engine will be sucking in a tonne of oil through that PCV valve. Possibly also, since the rocker cover is a complex thing with 3 connections to it (for the PCV system), if something failed there, then oil could be sucked into the engine (I am trying to understand how the catch can solution works vs PCV, since a normal car just has one pipe from rocker to PCV to inlet manifold, ours has 3 there).

So back to front in the sense of that the oil will be sucked into the inlet manifold (and hence burnt) not sucked into the rocker cover.. (will be sucked out of the rocker cover instead).
