What you will get is more power and quicker turbo spool. The change in noise I have heard on customers cars after fitting is mild, perhaps because it is 16 gauge alum steel, with a full 2mm wall rather than the very thin stainless walls most dumps have. Still lighter than stock too, given the much higher flow, smaller magnaflow cat.

Yep a dump pipe is about the best thing you can do tuned or not, for a real power increase and to aid turbo spool times, certainly for the price.
Cheers Greg, I've emailed 42 direct as you suggested and all seems good. Just weighing up btw mild steel or 304SS.... Hmmmm.

With the ceramic coat, you eliminate the rust concerns, and you gain the heat insulation, and until May 20 get one direct to gain the free coating!!!

    Hey Greg,

Couple of them there pesky questions you've probably had a fair few of...

Do you know if this will mate with the Milltek cat-back? (I don't mean shag and have little baby pipes )

Maybe stoopid question but is the ceramic coating on the inside or outside or both? They didn't teach dump-pipes at my skool...

I'm seriously interested in this with cat and ceramic if it does. Looks so much smoother in the turbo exit pipe than the Milltek DP and is mucho less dollares...

    Cheers

Yep I get the same questions all day, but at least then I know what to put up on the website!

Ceramic coat by Jet Hot is both inside and outside, which amazed me, most people don't bother with the inner. Should be twice as effective for heat and protection.

If the Milltek cat back is a slip on, and joins the stock dump at the standard slip join ( that is was a direct bolt on with no modding of the stock front half ) then the 42 pipe in slip fit should be a direct fit. It is designed to join at the stock location, and with a stock slip fit connector adaptor, would fit nicely. I assume the Milltek is a bigger diameter, in which case you could ask 42DD for a bigger adaptor terminus on the dump, to keep the diameters larger, would be silly to step the join down unless necessary. Still depends on how the Milltek cat back starts.

In a nutshell, the stock slip fit 42DD dump should be a direct fit to any slip fit cat back that is direct bolt on, they should all join at the same stock place.

Remember 42 need your order before 20th May, and as they canlt pass it onto dealers like me ( sadly ) you need to get onto John Peleton at 42DD directly. Remember to hit them up for a sticker or two!!

ohhh right. Excelllent. It will probably last longer than a Stainless 1 too. Most mild steel systems do.

Edit: Seems I took this as a negative comment, so apologies, and edited. Wasn't sure you were serious Ben, sorry! Amazing what customers can tell you over the phone, you guys are everywhere!!

Greg - just a question from a practical point of view. Seeing that 42dd make the dump pipe and also the o2 spacer (which is a necessary component 90% of the time), why dont they either:

    1) build a o2 sensor into the dump pipe (surely this would cost them sweet bugger all to do)
    OR
    2) offer a dump pipe + o2 sensor package

Just seems to make sense? Or am i alone on this one?

Received my 42DD dump pipe today (ordered through Greg but shipped directly from 42DD in the USA). Took just over a week to get here which was pretty damn fast.

The dump pipe was very well packaged to avoid damage in transit, and looks to be very nice quality. First impressions are good, as expected, as im happy with other 42DD products i have purchased. New turbo gasket and appropriate fitting hardware included (as it should be) and something that wasn't included with my current Scorpion dump pipe (had to be purchased separately).

Will be getting it ceramic coated before installation, and will take some pics incase it benefits others.

Great service from Greg as always too.
