How did you go today?
Was it put on a dyno or because it's a standard Stage 1 on a stock R they already have the expected numbers for you?
Assuming you cut loose and actually drove enough to crack your first 1000 kms , what are your thoughts?
Power gain significant? I'm wondering because mine was detuned to a lower starting point, therefore the gain was huge @ nearly 60 kW and instantly noticeable - how it compares to stock R.
How much did it cost (just to compare?)
They should in theory have the same power at the crank. The gti will normally dyno higher as there is less drive train loss.
to replicate the effect you'd have to push the pedal extremely fast to at least 50% throttle, and then fast, but not quite as fast as before to say 70-75%, and then a bit slower to say 85% - all in the time it takes me to push my pedal down 20-25% max
Nope not on a dyno. Ill go do that soon to check my curve.
Cracked 1000kms and have given it a few squirts. Even w/awd i heard some tire squel (not much but around 4-5krpm). I think the car is still adapting so will give it some more today.
Not sure how much gain since i havent throw it on a dyno but others have got about 25kws and 50nm from tune only.
Normal GIAC tunes are $1095 and extreme tunes (includes a flashloader) are $1495 at Exoticars
