On the question of prices and options for RamSpeed Forged Racing Wheels.

For a VW Golf V and VI we would recommend the following sizes:

    8.0 x 18” with ET +45 – to fit 225/40/18
    8.5 x 19” with ET +45 – to fit 225/35/19 OR with 235/35/19 with offset +50.

In terms of concavity, we understand everyone is aiming for the maximum concave look – however there are technical limits.

In order to achieve deep concave 4 factors need to be achieved:

    - The width of the rim should be min 9 - 9.5”
    - The offset should be small, ET +35 or less (the smaller the offset the further the wheel towards the guard)
    - Minimal brake clearance requirement (e.g. with BBK or Porsche, AMG brake kit at front axle, only very mild concave is possible).
    - Maximise the diameter of the wheel.

We always maximise design brief to achieve as much of a concave as possible and can do custom sizes and offsets due to each wheel being CNC machined on a per order basis.

For VW Golf forum members, we have an exclusive “early bird” special available.

Valid for our RS DC Range (8 designs below) – we offer the following pricing - valid only this month!

    18” = $4,500 incl GST
    19” = $4,999 incl GST
    20” = $5,250 incl GST

50% Deposit is acceptable, balance on delivery.

Prices include all standard finishes for centre star and outer lip. Other finishes are available on request. RamSpeed Centre cap is CNC machined and matched to the star colour. There are no other centre cap options available (eg. VW logo) as we are not authorised to promote trademarked brands.

NOTE: With the RS DC series, it is possible to get a separate set of centre stars manufactured,
which means that if you want a different centre design, you don’t have to purchase a completely new set of wheels – you just get new centres and utilise the original rim with lip.

Prices for exchange forged wheel stars, again on special this month only are:

    18” = $2,800
    19” = $2,950
    20” = $3,100

    Standard finish only.

    WARRANTY: 3 Years.

Please CALL our office with any additional questions as we are unable to monitor this thread or PM’s on a frequent enough basis. Thank You.

Thanks MK. When I first saw them Novemebr 2011 on my trip to US, I knew they will be a hit. We have a large back order and this is really about bringing quality to the masses. There really is no need to pay much more for Forged wheels. We have hand picked the designs and negotiated great deal for the Australian buyers, but they will go up in price, particularly in view of the weakening Aussie dollar.

    Great,
Wish other manufacturers would explain stuff like this. Save me wasting money on a set of ADV's that have almost no offset.

    1. Only thing missing now is an actual photo of one of these 18" x 8 wheels that would fit on a Golf "R" and I will buy a set.

    2. I might be missing something but should each wheel have a name to avoid confusion. Rather than say 4th one down. Etc

    3. Are any of these wheels available for inspection?

Hi Chris: There are actually names for each of those wheels. RS stands for Ramspeed and the other two letters are the differing models. I am sure Ramspeed can chime in with the different models.

If you right click the photo and save as you can see the names Ramspeed have given the wheels,

    RS DC 01 etc
If you don't have a vision, don't start, if you do something, do it properly, if you're not 100% happy, do it again!
