To point it out for you mate, "fancy schmick wheels" and ride height is just that. Adam's car that he posted (of which you can read if you like) does look mint. I posted my response on it favourably before I even started this thread. And to be perfectly detailed about it, I think the understated difference but similarities of his wheels to the original detroits is what drew me to it. A good detail. I also then went on to discuss his idea of bags after he posted, and even offered some suggestions to which I also stated that I thought his ride height was perfect already.
So why then Mal would I go on in here to take the piss out of someone I just complimented mate? My comment was just that, a well directed and honest compliment, and he shouldnt even be worrying about what I meant about VW's and what he meant since it's not even worth arguing when I think inherently we were on the same page. I then ended it with a smile, to show it was meaningful and not taking the piss.
And here you are also fueling the fire when it is completely inappropriate. Perhaps your value add to this thread should have been based on the original post to say "good intentions Paul", and left it at that, but you chose to weigh into something that Adam and I could have easily resolved.
I have asked Tuz (as moderator) to delete this thread, as the original intention was completely taken out of context.
this thread has turned into a apr vs other tunes thread but for air cooled vs water cooled.
Dub was just expressing his love for all VW's not just the stock or modified.
