    Original Post

    Hi everyone,

Thought I should throw up a thread and show my new GTI. Had it for about 3 weeks now and I'm really enjoying it.

Car is a manual, one owner, October 2008 build MY09 and has 56000km. Has leather, sunroof, and RNS510

Since I've had it I've done a euro plate holder delete with a new grille, OEM R32 tails, installed an MDI, updated firmware on the RNS and my plates restyled to the black euro ones.. Stubby antenna on the way. Think I will eventually get a DP CAI and matching tune as well.. Probably a WALK too.

You can see the old mans new Polo GTI has snuck into one of the pics. That's what made me finally get a golf! Wanted one for about a year but driving that made me do it! Thanks for looking.

Hey Tom, congrats on your new car - I don't often see 3 door GTI's around my area.

LOVE your location for the pics with the Sea Cliff Bridge in the background. We were over there on holiday last month and especially went that route for the drive over the bridge - poured with rain that day so my pics from that same spot were bad.

Congrats Tom - your car looks great. Very tidy and quite rare as a 3dr. And manual too.....

Thanks for the kind words. Yeah I was pretty keen to get into a 3dr because I like the look and for the reason that they are more rare! Sorry to hear that Golda, Stanwell Tops is quite a picturesque location! Haha, Kerem, I went to VW to get the service history and thought I'd casually enquire about the price of the lights and I thought what the heck, just get them! I'll chuck up a couple more pics soon with the non holy grille and euro plates..

Also getting Stage 2 paint correction and tints done by Dave at Reflect Effect this week!

    Bit of an update!

In the last moth I've had the 60k service done at Exoticars and also had arthur do a few mods for me. Installed a Volant intake and Eurojet DP along with a GIAC tune to suit. Also put in some Super Pro lower control arms and anti lift kit.

Here is a couple of the latest pics I have taken showing new plate and grille with no holes, open fog grilles and also window tints, paint correction and opti-coat from Reflect Effect..

Cheers Lucas, you're right, I am loving it! I actually like how the downpipe enhanced the sound without being loud, intake noise is great too.

Paolo, I got it from ECS, think it was somewhere between $130-$150 plus a 50 odd dollar shipping fee which I think is standard for them for anything. Was packaged with the open fog grilles and a couple of other small things..
