Hello all! 1st car, a VW... and loving it

Hi all, i just bought myself a new 77tsi golf (candy white of course). Picked it up on sat morning, was very excited to drive it home. It looks excellent and feels great. As it is my 1st car i want to keep it as stock as possible but i am looking at getting some rims 16inch most likely (black) any ideas?

A little bit about myself, im 20, working full time, and saved enough to put down a deposit (and some) on the car and pay the rest through finance. I think alot of people would say i should of saved for the 118 but i just couldnt wait for the money. So now my plan is to get the new MK7 R when its released sometime in the late (late) future, i should have saved enough and i also believe i will have my fulls by then *touch wood*.

I really am enjoying the new car, it feels great, looks beautiful. Just wondering though is the 1st gear usually very slow (cant really explain it) or should i go and get it checked out by the dealer.

    Cheers,
    Sean

Welcome Sean, and very lucky to have a first car like that . Exciting stuff !

Multitude of wheels available. If you want blank rims, consider 17's. There are wheel threads on the forum. Have a browse to see what you like. Really depends on the look you are after and budget.

You could look at some GTI wheels, or some VMR's for around a grand for a set, just to name a few. Another guy on here, threw on some BBS replicas and they came up really nice.

There are a few people on here with your car. They would be better placed to answer your 1st gear questions.

Enjoy your stay on the forum mate.

Hey sean welcome and nice buy. more tsis
The first gear is a bit of a slow pickup on the TSis and its quite a known fact already on the 90 and the 118, more on the 90. So I would guess the 77 would have an even bigger problem due to its small 1.2 engine. Its a small engine lugging a heavy car so give it time haha
